A new adventure waits for you, relax and enjoy!

Day 1st

We start from Zagreb, with short stops we arrive in Risnjak National Park. The first adventure is a hiking trip to Veliki Risnjak from Vilje, for which we need an hour of gentle ascent to the mountain lodge. We rest in the meadow next to Schlosser's home, for the more daring it is possible to climb to the rocky peak of Risnjak. We will enjoy the beautiful sights from 1528 m above sea level on Kvarner Bay, Istria and the Julian Alps.

IMPORTANT: Climbing to the top of Veliki Risnjak requires a certain experience. There are several cables on the marked path that helps the ascent. For people with a lack of experience, without suitable footwear and those who are afraid of heights - it is not recommended to climb to the very top. The path to Schlosser's house is not technically demanding, and you can already admire the beauty of the landscape from that location.

After descending from the mountain, the road leads us towards lake Lokvar which, although it is artificial, fits so perfectly into nature that it seems as if it has been there for centuries. In the warmer months, we can even swim. In the evening we rest for a new day full of new adventures.

  • Trip duration – (Veliki Risnjak):3h
  • Trip difficulty: Moderate
  • Total length: 6.5 km
  • Altitude difference: 600m

Day 2nd

After breakfast, we head towards river Kupa where we get into the kayaks and row for three hours on a stretch of about 8 km. The first part of the tour is a bit calmer, you will have time to master your rowing techniques. Halfway we will have a short break where you can refresh yourself, jump from the cliffs and swim. The final part is a little more intense with more rapids where fun is guaranteed.

Afternoon is reserved for a visit to Zeleni vir and Vražji prolaz. The road leads us through the forests of the Skrad region, where we reach one of the most beautiful canyons in our country. The Jasle stream shaped its way into the stone to make this canyon. Bridges cut into the rock allow passage to the end of Devil's Pass where Muževa Hižica cave. In the evening, we rest for a new day full of new adventures.

  • Trip duration – (Rafting Cup):2h
  • Trip difficulty: Easy
  • Total length: 8 km

Day 3rd

The last day of our trip begins with a drive to source of Kupa which, due to the beauty and wildness of nature, will surely remain in your memory for a long time. The spring itself is located within the boundaries of the Risnjak National Park near Razloge. After a forty-minute walk, we will reach a source located under a hundred-meter-high vertical rocks.

After the source we will visit Lokvarka cave. The cave has 6 floors, the first 4 of which are open to visitors. We spend the afternoon walking through Golubinjak Forest Park which covers about fifty hectares of a protected area with monolithic rocks and also hides the largest fir in Gorski Kotar, the 37 meters high "Queen of the Forest". With this our Gorski kotar adventure ends, a car ride to Zagreb follows.
